The Texel ewe does well in sparse vegetation and climate of upland regions and excels in lowlands on better pastures. In the UK they are very often crossed with a native breed its passes valuable forage conversion traits to its offspring.
This fleece is a soft wool fleece with a lovely crimp and has long staple of 12 cm (5 inches) it is ideal for hand spinning to produce a woollen yarn and great for felting projects.
This fleece has been picked over and skirted but may still contain some Vegetative matter
