Our Alpaca fleece comes from an award winning small herd just over the boarder in Cornwall. It is a super soft, durable, luxurious and silky natural fibre. While similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, not prickly, and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. Alpaca is naturally water-repellent and difficult to ignite. This fleece is approximately 2 inches (5cm) long
All our fibres are sourced from local farms so we can ensure that the animals supplying our fleece have been treated with care and respect.
At Newmoor Barn in Devon we produce all of our finished fibres by hand This fleece has been skirted and picked but remains unwashed for you to process as you wish.
